This simple olive oil bread is a high-hydration (80% in this case) dough, it comes together quickly in a bowl & doesn’t need to be kneaded. It has a tender, open crumb with plenty of lift, from the dough being folded multiple times. Cold-proofing overnight in the refrigerator produces a complex flavor that a quicker, warmer proof won't. Bake in a 10 or 12 inch cast iron skillet.

Olive Cheese Bread | Midwest Foodie
Very easy to make, requires very little prep work & only one bowl. Combine sour cream, garlic powder, butter, & a large pinch of salt & pepper. Stir in grated Monterey jack cheese, sliced green onions, & sliced green & black olives*. Spread on a split loaf of French bread & bake for 20-25 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese starts to get dark golden brown. Slice & garnish with fresh parsley. *If you're not a fan of either green or black olives, simply double the amount of the olive you do like. #appetizer #party

A tasty dipping sauce for steak, other meats, bread, or even for cauliflower & roasted potatoes. Melt a few tablespoons of butter, then add lemon juice & zest, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, paprika, & cayenne; whisk together until well combined. Then add fresh chives, thyme, parsley, crushed red pepper flakes, & salt & pepper to taste. This style of compound butter is similar to what the French call “beurre Maître d’Hôtel”.

Chicken Bog | Immaculate Bites
A classic one-pot chicken & rice dish from South Carolina. A good bog depends on the quality of the broth. Simmer chicken thighs (or a mix of parts, or a whole chicken) with onions, garlic, salt, & black pepper. Shred the meat & set aside. For the bog, saute onions, celery, & minced garlic in butter. Add sliced smoked sausage & the chicken meat. Stir in the rice, chicken stock*, salt, pepper, thyme, & paprika. Cover & cook until rice is tender. Serve with sliced green onions & hot sauce. *Add more or less stock depending on how you prefer your rice. Chicken bog is pretty adaptable, can add bell peppers, carrots, green peas, or other seasonings. #Southern
