Winchester Model 71 Lever Action Rifle
Winchester M71 Rifle - Winchester introducing the Winchester’s Model 71 lever-action rifle in 1935. Unlike the Winchester 1886 rifle, which it emulated closely, the M71 was chambered for only the .348 Win. cartridge. The M71’s ¾ length, four-shot tubular magazine was the same for the two barrel lengths offered – a 20-inch rifle and a 24-inch rifle. The original Winchester production run continued until 1958 and a bit under 50,000 guns were made. NRA National Firearms Museum in Fairfax, VA.
