Bats!

Inside the bat cage (not the batting cage). I was given the rare and fascinating experience of stepping into some of the bat cages at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Just me, my camera, and 160 live bats. I didn't have much time but it was great to have the chance to document part of a great conservation movement. I'll post more pictures soon. Awesome bat tattoo

This evening's June full moon is popularly called the Strawberry Moon, Honey Moon, and/or Rose Moon. It's also the 'Friday 13th June full moon,' something that hasn't happened since 1919, and it's going to be the lowest in the sky of any full moon this year. Maybe there will be a fanged skull visible!
