Saarinen Dining Table, Oval - Design Within Reach
Saarinen Round Dining Table In a 1956 cover story in Time magazine, Eero Saarinen said that “the underside of typical tables and chairs makes a confusing, unrestful world,” and that he was designing a collection to "clear up the slum of legs in the U.S. home." Later that year, he completed his Pedestal Table (1956) with its cast aluminum base inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid.
KELLY WEARSTLER | IRIS DINING TABLE. This simple, tulip-style occasional table matches a solid white Carrara marble top with a gold leafed metal base. The leafed base features an antiqued finish and a dramatic taper. At 48" in diameter, this table can function either in an entryway or as seating for four. The marble slab top is hand selected.
