Printing Intaglio Without a Press
If you are just starting out, a student or don't have the room for a nice press, printing intaglio work can be quite a challenge. I wanted to share a technique of pressless printing that I learned a long time ago from my friend, Margaret Craig, who teaches at the Southwest School or Arts in TX. Collographs with Akua Inks
And finally, here is a sampling of the collographs that came out of the 2nd half of the printmaking class. Above is an acrylic plate with a design made out of beeswax and then inked with Akua waterbased inks. Making the collograph plate. Inking it carefully by hand.
