Old Shovel Bird House Stand
We get so many compliments about these bird house stands that we make so I thought I would share how we make them on my blog. For this particular project, I picked up an old shovel and a birdhouse at a yard sale for $2. We have also used other garden tools for these (spades, ice scrapers,pitch fork, etc. - anything that will go into the ground straight). All we do is cut off the top of the handle of the shovel a little bit so it is flat. Then we add some wood to the top of the shovel…
