"Madame de Bittencourt’s Regency Era costume ball gown, In costume parties were highly fashionable, and women dressed in past era clothing. This is an antique dress made to look one hundred years older.
Tailored walking costume, Woolland Bros. (retailers), ca. 1910. Navy wool gabardine, blanket-weave wool, lined with silk, boned. Hip-length, straight-cut coat with wide beige & colored stripe blanket-weave wool collar that drops to “V” in back. Godets inset into cuffs & skirt hem. Fastens with silk-covered toggles. Coat lined with beige silk. Skirt is cut straight & trimmed with row of buttons. Wide, boned waistband fastens with hooks & eyes and snaps. Victoria & Albert Museum
