The Dentzel Company of Philadelphia produced some of the finest carousel animals in America. Founded by German immigrant woodcarvers, the animals were beautifully detailed and extremely lifelike. Ours is a "stander", which occupied only the inside row. This horse was expertly restored by Mark Miller in 1971, and was part of Wisconsin's House On The Rock collection. The magnificent horse features jewels, glass eyes, and a real horse tail.
