Modern Bronze Breeze Block Earrings with Rutilated Quartz

Inspired by a breeze block from a private home in Australia, we fell in love with them. This block is cast in bronze with a 10MM lovely golden rutile quartz drop. Earrings are approximately 2 inches long by 3/4 inch wide (actual length may vary based on stone). The ear wires are sterling silver. A bit of history on breeze blocks: Breeze or screen block exploded onto the architectural scene in the late 1950s (propelled by architect Edward Durell Stone), reached its peak at the 1964 New York World's Fair. The use of the blocks started to decline in the 1970's but are seeing a resurgence in both interior and exterior use.
