This miniature heart urn was requested as a special order from a family and it has become popular with many families. It allows several members of the deceased's family to have some of the ashes. The inside capacity is approximately 1/3 cubic inch. After the ashes are inserted it is recommended that several drops, or a narrow line, of contact cement be applied to the inside of the lid to permanently affix the lid so ashes do not leak out. The wood used in this urn are zebrwood, cherry and wenge.. The finish is precatalyzed lacquer, commercial grade, like that which is used on fine furniture. I apply two coats of lacquer, hand-sanding between each coat. This finish provides a very durable finish which will last for years and years. Holds approx. 1/3 c.i.
