Grete Stern, "Sueño No. 22: Último beso", 1949. At a 1967 exhibition of her Sueños, Stern delivered a speech titled “Notes on Photomontage”, outlining a brief history of photomontage and her own working process. In this address, Stern emphasized the importance of a photomontage’s title. First published as "Los Sueños de Muerte", Stern later titled this work "Último beso", echoing the dramatic and cinematic flair of the lovers embrace.
