Temple of Luxor Reconstruction. The six statues of Rameses II are the most complicated part of the reconstruction. The Pylon itself is all straight edges and made up of simple cubes that are easy to form into the right shapes.
An elegant carved hardwood figure of a seated cat, sacred to the goddess Bastet. The cat is depicted seated squarely on a shallow plinth with his tail wrapped around the right side of his haunch. The head is delicately carved and retains incised decoration around the eyes and muzzle.
