Minoan Art Reproduction of ancient Minoan art. The ancient Minoan civilization included settlements on the pre-eruption island of Thera. Some think the colapse of the volcanic crater into the sea lead to the myth of the lost continent of Atlantis.

Knossos, Crete. The original is a wall painting in the palace of Knossos, rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th century through the work of the British archaeologist Arthur Evans. The Minoan civilization was a Bronze Age civilization that arose on the island of Crete and flourished from approxi-mately 2800 BC to 1600 BC.
