Can Vivot, Palma de Mallorca. As of 1690, the first Marquis of Vivot, Joan Sureda y Villalonga (1669-1752),undertook a thorough renovation of the original house, formerly known as Can Villalonga, the former residence of the Desclapers family. He inherited the house from the Villalonga family, who had lived there since the early 16th C.

When he died in 1804, his niece Francesca de Villalonga i Ferrandell inherited the house. The year afterwards, she changed the name of the Marquis’ house to Casa Ferrandell
