Carpenter Bee by Jean Marie (Mouveroux Xylocopa violacea) readily identified by its color. Carpenters bees are about 25 mm, glossy black all over, with sparse black hairs. Taken at Le Perreux sur Marne, Ile-de-France, France.
Panda Ant - Mutillidae are a family of more than species of wasps (despite the names) whose wingless females resemble large, hairy ants. Found in Chile, they are known for their extremely painful stings, hence the common name cow killer or cow ant.
Bees suck water in through their proboscis, the same "straw" used for nectar. The bees are one reason I spray down the plants in the morning on hot summer days. It will attract and support more pollinators.
