Ponce alla Livornese began in Livorno in the second half of the century thanks to the sailors of the British Royal Navy who introduced Punch (a drink originating in the East Indies) to the Port of Livorno.
Our Guji Sidamo comes to us from the Guji Coffee Export Company in the former Sidamo province of Southern Ethiopia (in what is now the Oromia regional-state). The coffee is sourced from small garden-farms spread throughout the Kercha growing region, where altitudes can reach upwards of 7000 feet. In the cup, Guji Sidamo has a slightly sweet, fruity profile with a medium body and a clean finish. Look for dark molasses and strawberry tartness with subtle notes of lemon and kiwi. #RealCoffee
