Here, [artist Noah] MacMillan depicts the Aztec sun and war god, Huitzilopochtli, who killed his rival sister and many of his 400 siblings, using a flaming serpent as his weapon. Huitzilopochtli is known for leading the Aztecs into the Valley of Mexico.
Centeotl: was the Aztec god of Maize. He represents the Aztec version of a more ancient and pan-Mesoamerican deity. Centeotl was the son of Tlazolteotl, the goddess of fertility and childbirth, and husband of Xochiquetzal.
