The Victory Cross is a Prerromanesque jewel, symbol of Asturias. Latin cross, oak wooden core coated with gold and precious stones. His arms are flared at the ends and a small shrine in the center of union. It was made during the reign of Alfonso III, who ordered its production in the early tenth century as a donation to the Cathedral of San Salvador de Oviedo, as indicated on the back of the cross, along with enrollment in Latin "HOC SIGN TVETVR IDLH. HOC SIGN VINCITVR INMICVS".
