Saunders Roe SR.45 Princess flying boat being serviced or scrapped (minus propellers). The largest flying boat ever constructed, with ten turboprop engines driving 6 pods of propellers. 3 were ordered & built for BOAC, but only one flew. The age of the flying boat was ending when the first took to the air, in 1952. The order was cancelled and the 3 were scrapped after approaches to the RAF & USAF for their use as transports failed.
