The turquoise gilt set was given to King George VI by his brother the Duke of Windsor, shortly after he abdicated in 1936 to marry divorcee Wallis Simpson.    The set includes a letter rack, an ink well, roller blotter, pen tray, paper knife,and stamp box, each with the the king¿s nickname, Bertie, engraved on it.

Byzantine ring. I'm surprised to see the stone is faceted. Site says it could be a later addition, when no indication of when.
