Acanthus tapestry - William Morris tapestries. #morris #design

The Acanthus tapestry is one of many William Morris tapestries in our Arts and Crafts tapestries collection.

This design is much simpler, Morris has use an off white background to help make the foreground stand out. In this design he has used a simple plant and flower design and has used a variety of colours such as red, yellow, dark green, blue and light green to help create a visually more interesting design despite it being more simple than previous designs.

William Morris Design Really? Dearle maybe or Philip Webb? It would certainly make a nice scroll tile.

Again a great combination of blue and yellow! William Morris Fabric
