Poppies.   By gulbin  -   Some watercolor paintings start out by washing the background paper with clear water.   When I say 'washing', I mean laying down the water with a larger brush, or even a paper towel soaked in water.   CLEARLY there was no wash done to this background.   See how the details are clean and crisp.   The color is also quite bold.   That can be achieved by using less water in the mix.
