John Joseph "Jack" Nicholson 1937 - Was born into a rather complicated family situation. Raised Catholic by a non-Catholic grandmother, he received the early sacraments, sang in the Church choir, but then drifted away during his teen years. Has stated that he cannot share Hollywood's penchant for abortion, because he himself was adopted (by his grandparents). Has also stated that " . . . Catholicism was 'the only official dogma training I've had. I liked it. It's a smart religion.' "
