flipping through albums in a record store. THE record store Tower records when I was a kid, and then looking through all the CDs with my son when he was a teenager! I miss Tower Records!

Mr.. Rodgers!

Mr Rogers, part of my childhood! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Won't you be mine?

Do you remember when the t.v. looked like this at night when it signed off? I sure do. :)

Back when TVs were a decorative piece of furniture and us kids were the remote control! Also that multi-color test pattern that came on after the station signed off for the night and they played the star spangled banner.

Revlon Flex Shampoo!!! I miss that balsam smell. What is it with these companies ruining a good thing? Pantene too!!

Flex Balsam shampoo---this was de reiguer when I was in high school if you had long, straight hair.

Had many of these - had them whirling all over the kitchen floor.

I used to love these spinning top toys as a toddler. One of my favorite toys growing up!

Metal Scissors

Vintage Old School Scissors. Any lefties out there? Leftie scissors were th worst!

Stores used to have sales clerks (mostly men - remember Al Bundy?!) who would bring one of these over, remove your shoe and measure your foot. I would break out in hives worrying about whether my feet were stinky!

Remember having your foot measured at the shoe store? Did you know this was called a "Brannock Device"? Remember when shoe salesmen used to measure your foot and bring you each box of shoes you wanted to try on?

Drive-In Reminiscing I saw this picture going around Facebook - does anyone remember these?  Well, as a child of the 60’s and 70’s, I sure do!!  In fact, I’m lucky to live near a place where these are still being used – the Drive-In movie theater.  The antique looking speakers are still in position at one of the few drive-in theaters we have left in Minnesota.

Drive-In Reminiscing

Silly Putty
