Kind of a prequel/sequel to Oryx & Crake, but you don't need to read that one to appreciate this one. I've never read a Margaret Atwood book I didn't like. This is one of her bleak dystopian future sci-fi books, but somehow manages not to be depressing.
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. Dystopian novel that asks compelling questions about what happens when scientists are gods. Like all Atwood novels, this one is thought-provoking and beautifully-written.
