Vintage Teardrop-Shaped 14K Solid Yellow Gold Opal Stud Earrings, with two, genuine, oval, 6mm x 4mm (0.28CTW), cabochon, white opals. The opals have an excellent play-of-colour, with flashes of pink, green, blue and yellow. They are prong set in gold frames that bear the makers's mark. The butterfly backs are stamped 14K. They measure 11mm x 8mm, and weigh 0.43g. Would act as a nice accent to more prominent pieces, or as a simple coordinate to companion colours. Very versatile, simple, and elegant! Opal is said to have physical, mental and emotional healing properties, and is widely viewed within cultures as a symbol of hope, purity and truth.
