Casa en equilibrio La mejor respuesta a diseñar una casa en un sitio anodino es llevar una maleta de recuerdos: formas de construcción tradicional con las que uno se siente cómodo, para construir una arquitectura moderna, reforzada por la memoria colectiva.

For a modern take on the traditional brownstone, Calista Interiors used brick, stucco and iron details to create this urban exterior. Evergreens and boxed plants bring natural color to the bold, contemporary look.

In Sydney’s North Shore, Luigi Rosselli Architects have designed the ‘balancing home.

This is a successful example of a new design for an old dwelling as the new respects the old with a clear de-lineation between the two. The materials and finishes that the architect has selected gives the building a fairly understated minimalist feel, despite its size. The modern wing contains an expansive new kitchen and family room on the ground floor and a study and staff quarters above.

The Principal Designer of Decus Alexandra Donohoe is one lucky lady; she has done the interiors for not one but five of architect Luigi Rosselli designed houses.

A semi-translucent addition and a number of interior interventions transformed this house in Melbourne, Australia, into a daylit, functional home to a family of five. Steffen Welsch Architects approached the renovation project by layering activities and spaces and executing them in "simple moves" and economy.

The most interesting aspect of the house is the way it sits on the ground – heavily. Instead of perching the house on wooden poles or slender steel columns, Luigi Rosselli enclosed the area beneath the.
