AIRÉN  Originaria de La Mancha. Variedad más plantada en España, en La Mancha principalmente, y en todo el centro peninsular. En el mundo ocupa el 30 % de la superficie de viñedo, por lo que es la más cultivada.  Sinonimias: Lairén, Aidén, Manchega, Valdepeñera y Forcallat blanca.  Cepa rústica y dura. Resistente a sequía y enfermedades. Productiva. Racimos grandes y apretados. Bayas grandes, redondas, de color dorado. La variedad Airén produce unos vinos de aromas característicos afrutados

It's a Vitis aestivales M. - E. cinerea with Vitis vinifera L. It can only grow in the districts of Lunahuana, Pacaran and Zuniga in Cañete, Lima. It has adapted well to conditions of soil and climate of this three districts, where because of the height, variety Quebranta can not be develope.
