The original Lowell Sun building (cir. 1905) at 8 Merrimack Street. Also shown are 'Putnam Dining Rooms' restaurant, operated by Frank E. Putnam at 10 Merrimack and Albert E. O'Hare's Furniture Company at 16 Merrimack. It was replaced by the current 10-story building in 1912.

Lowell Car Wash, 168 Plain Street - built and opened in 1962 by brothers Philip & David Levine (MALEV Trust), the company remaines in the Levine family today. The trust was named for their dad (Max Levine, 1888-1945).
