This image shows Gemini IV as it was formerly displayed in the Milestones of Flight gallery at the Museum in DC with Edward H. White II's spacesuit representing when he became the first American to perform an Extra Vehicular Activity (EVA) or "spacewalk" from the Gemini IV spacecraft on June 3, 1965. The spacesuits were removed years ago for conservation reasons.

The objectives were to dock with the Agena target vehicle and conduct three spacewalks. The mission included conducting 14 scientific experiments and taking pictures of the total eclipse over South America. Gemini 12 returned to earth on the 15th of November.
First American Spacewalk
During the Gemini 4 mission on June 3, 1965, Ed White became the first American to conduct a spacewalk. The spacewalk started at 3:45 p.m. EDT on the third orbit when White opened the hatch and used the hand-held manuevering oxygen-jet gun to push himself out of the capsule. Dragon's recently new release of a 1/72 scale Gemini spacecraft. I recently spent a couple of pleasant weekends building Dragon's new 1/72 scale Gemini Spacecraft with spacewalker. Over all the Dragon kit went together with minimal fuss. All parts feature crisply molded parts and essentially fit together with no problems. A detailed look at the finely engraved panel lines.
