LOT 91 MUSLIN DRESS with CREWEL EMBROIDERY, AMERICAN, 1810 White cotton embroidered with pink, red and olive green posies, having fall-open bodice and long sleeve with slightly puffed cuff, front neckline edged in three ruched bands, bodice back and sides lined in cotton, center back gathered, narrow tie threaded through two loops at back. DLM tag. B-32, L 48-51.

A rare regency era silk sewing basket/ reticule dating from the early 1800 to 1820 period. Fashionable ladies carried their needlework in this type of drawstring purse, which was fitted with a box as the base.
