A new vase, just finished. Sold.

I was excited about this firing as I tired out some more new ideas. Dorset is a very beautiful county and has some remarkably different landscapes. Up on high down land hills there are tall towers and churches. The views drift over woodland and fields to reach distant hills. It's here that skylarks, buzzards and red kites fly, butterflies hover over meadows of grasses and wild flowers and sometimes you just get lucky and there in front of you is a huge field of poppies. I do love the poppies…

Another firing today and it's back on again. Looking forward to opening the kiln tomorrow. I had a lot of work to fire, all painted since Christmas.

Another firing today. Mostly mugs but also little heart boxes and bowls. All with local Dorset scenes or Southern France.

Finishing off some little dishes and mugs that I started a couple of days ago. The weather this January and February in Mons has been very changeable, alternating with bright clear sunshine and wind or snow and wind. The mimosa is out everywhere now, in fact it's even the delightful mimosa fete in Roquebrun tomorrow to celebrate the arrival of the coming of spring. Working on some mugs at the moment. Mostly Dorset scenes and wild flowers. Still all to be glazed and fired.

It was windy and raining today so after shopping and walking Phoebe I continued painting a few more mugs. I finished off the Olargues one this morning and completed two more this afternoon. One with poppies and lavender, one roses and another sunflowers. They took quite a bit of painting as they are quite detailed but I think they will look good when they are glazed and fired.

It's been raining today so I've been painting. I've been working on 3 more mugs so have 9 in various stages at the moment. 3 Dorset scenes and the others are French scenes and flowers. I will try to finish enough for a firing when we are back in Dorset. These ones still need some finishing, glazing and to be fired.

A super day, selling lots of our ceramics. We don't have many items left. Lots of lovely things said about my pieces. Thank you everyone. It's was lovely to hear on both days all the places in the world that my pots were going to. Russia, New Zealand, USA, Poland, Spain and France. Hopefully they will make their owner happy and the givers happy too.

Brilliant day selling our Red Kite Ceramics at the Christchurch Christmas market. Super event and lovely to meet so many interested people who really liked our work. Martin and I were delighted.
