London in the 1920's-chimney sweep
As coal fires were common, right up until the 1950's, there was always plenty of work for chimney sweeps. The soot-fall in 1910 was around 76,000 tons! Once again, this is a posed picture, but it enables us to see clearly, the mode of transport, clothes and tools of the trade.
