"Butterfly Farm," St. Thomas, USVI.
A Caligo (not sure of the species), or Owl Butterfly. The "farm" is really a net-enclosed, double-car-garage-sized space in a metropolitan area. Nonetheless, it was an interesting stop. Apparently, butterflies, and the plants on which they feed, were about wiped out on the islands, and the farms represent an effort to re-establish them. www.neostream.net/~bfarm/index.php?option=com_frontpage&a...
