Assigned to 9th Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany. Died of injuries sustained when his vehicle pulled off the road while on patrol and hit an anti-tank landmine in Tikrit, Salah ad Din Province, Iraq.
Army SGT Alberto D. Montrond, 27, of Suffolk, Massachusetts. Died February 13, 2006, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to Group Support Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle during combat operations north of Deh Rawod, Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan.

Died of wounds sustained when hit by enemy small-arms fire while approaching an Iraqi position that was waving a white-flag of surrender near Nasiriyah, Iraq. Lieurance Died August 22, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 34, of Seymour, Tenn.; assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Tennessee National Guard, Sparta, Tenn., killed Aug. 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during patrol operations in Samarra, Iraq.
