May 17, 2010 I am frequently asked whether or not we descent our little skunks. The answer is NO! Our goal is to release them back into the wild (onto protected land) and spraying is the only way they can defend themselves. As I mentioned before, skunks only spray if they believe their lives are in danger. I am the skunks' only caregiver, so they are comfortable around me.
