The Talampaya National Park is a nature reserve and one of the seven " World Heritage "declared by the Unesco in Argentina . It is located in the center-west of the province of La Rioja . It was created in 1975 as a provincial park in order to protect important sites archaeological and paleontological area, and in 1997 it fell under the National Parks Administration .
