A lamp made out of doilies! Take a bunch of doilies and sort of papier-mache them to a large balloon. Pop the balloon, run a light through the doily-ball, and BAM. The effect is beautiful.

Leaves modpodged to a balloon, balloon then popped and removed

This is beautiful carved wood. But I think it might work with leaves mod-podged to a balloon, balloon then popped and removed. I think it would be gorgeous as centerpieces--if it worked.

DIY doilie candles

DIY lace doily candle holder: Soak cloth doilies in sugar starch, then form around a balloon. Once starch dries, pop balloon to get a romantic tea light holder

all you need to do is blow up some balloons, get white yarn, dip the yarn in a mixture of corn starch, water and elmers glue. dip the yarn in the mixture and wrap it around the balloon. let it sit and dry and then pop the balloon...voila :)

You make these by dipping yarn through a corn starch/glue mix, then wrapping it around a balloon coated with Vaseline so the glue doesn't stick. Once the yarn and glue mixer is dry, pop the balloon for this whimsical DIY lantern!
