someone is making something out of plastic and wrapping it in some sort of wrapper
74K views · 435 reactions | Angel Tassel | By Shabby Chic Vintage Chicks | Welcome back to day twelve of Shabby Chic Vintage Chicks tips, tricks and inspiration for Christmas. I was going through my craft supplies and I found this knotted mess of string. Seriously. How many of us crafters have that? A ball of yarn that has got so tangled up that it's unbearable. But I have an idea to use it up and get it going. So I'm going to fast forward through this part because nobody wants to watch this. Let alone do it. But here we go. I am slowly going crazy. One, two, three, four, five, six, which crazy few. Take a deep breath now. Okay we're almost done. So let's start wrapping this around a piece of cardboard. Whatever size you want really. Um I kind of guessed on this is the size I was going to want. So I'm just going to twine this up really quickly. And pull it off the cardboard. Then I'm going to take another piece of that string. And I'm going to put it through the centre of that hole. Just like that. And then basically like you're going to do a tag. Put it through the loop and give it a tug okay? We're basically building a a tassel. Now I'm going to pinch the top and I'm going to take some of the more of that string and I'm going to wrap it again. So here we go. Now let's just tie that up and get to the bottom of that loop and give it a snip. And that's going to make our tassel. Perfect. Okay so now we're going to take six strands from one side and I'm going to do a little braid. It's really not that difficult especially if you could get your little lady to stay still. This is going to be a fabulous arm and I'm going to do a little knot. And the other side she's really not cooperating. So a little wad of tape on the table does the trick. Holds her right in place. Now you're going to bring her two braided arms together. I'm going to put a piece of cardboard underneath so I don't get it stuck to her dress. And I'm going to glue a little totally dazzled bling heart. I love the check pattern. And a little totally dazzled crown to her head. Now if you're looking for totally dazzled please check out my page. I dropped the link for it often and I might even put it in the comments here for you. These are really I think makes it perfect. Then I simply remove that and remove her from the tape. And then I've got these wings from the dollar store. And why they stuck fake fur on the edges? I have no clue. But we're going to glue her into place. And while I'm doing this I am brainstorming on what I'm going to do about that fake fur. I think I'm just going to rip it off. But first of all it's going to take a couple different glues for me because I'm in a hurry always in a hurry. So I stuck some E 8 thousand for the longevity. And some hot glue just to get it done. And hold it into place so I can hang it on my tree right away. And I'm just going to press her into place. She is looking so good except for that fake fur. Does everybody agree? Let's trim her little hands here. And then I'm going to just straighten out her dress a bit. And I can always do another tidy up after she's on the tree if I need to but there's a few little strands that were a little long. Let's rip that off. Oh no. Okay so there's fake fur stuck on there that I cannot get off guys. I even tried heating it up and it was going to melt the wings. So we go with it right? We instead Take snippets of that little faux fur and we add it on to make it look all feathery. Guys it actually looks really really good. And that's it. She's perfect. Come back tomorrow for more.

. | Grab your Dollar Tree Shower Caddy’s NOW! This is definitely one Christmas craft you don’t want to miss out on! 🤗❤️🎅🏻 #gnomeandbackyard #woodwork... | By Gnome & Backyard | Hi, everyone. It's Lee here at Gnome and Backyard and we did do this shower caddy gnome on a live but so many of you were asking for just a quick video of it so here you go. All we took was one of these shower caddies from the Dollar Tree and then we took two of the Dollar Tree mop heads. So, all you're going to do is pull your strands out of the mop head and then you are going to fold your strand in half, put it over the bar the bottom bar is where we're starting for this put it over the bottom bar and then loop your two ends right through and you are going to want to continue doing this and filling it as tight and full as you would like to so that your gnome has a very fluffy beard so we are starting at the bottom of the shower caddy we are going all the way around the sides and across the front. We are just going to repeat this with our mop strands until we have the entire bottom row filled. Once we have the bottom row filled we are now going to go to the bar right above that and do the exact same thing you do want to keep pushing your strands close to one another again so that you have a very nice full beard this project really does not take a lot of time and it is very simple it would actually be something fun to do with the kids or grand kids and again we just used $1 Tree Shower Caddy and $2 Tree mops you will also need a Santa hat which you can get at the Dollar Tree and then something for a nose whether use a Styrofoam ball for a nose a ping pong ball or a wooden bead for nose it's all up to you but you really do not need a lot of items for this project so now we are doing the third bar again filling the sides going around the sides and across the front another option for your beard when you are done if you would actually like to unravel these mop head strands you can and your beard would be even fluffier I however really like the way this finished product looked leaving the strands just the way they are they look like big strands of spaghetti and I actually like this look for my gnome you can also make a Santa and for that you would probably just place the nose a little bit further down not right under the brim of the at. Again, it's up to you whether you choose to unfurl these or leave them the strands the way they are. You can also use yarn if you have yarn at home and did not want to grab the mops from the Dollar Tree. Now, we are just finishing up that fourth top row and our beard is complete. Next I did grab a Santa hat from the Dollar Tree I do like the hats they have this year they have some really nice hats this hat in particular just reminds me of a Christmas sweater the colors are great the red the cream and the gray and I love the little reindeer and the trees on this hat and it is almost like a sweater knit fabric so all you're going to do is pull it down right over the top of your shower caddy it's that simple I am going to attach my hat with a little bead of hot glue right underneath the fur and then just press it down right onto the strands of the mop and it will hold and stay secure and these hats actually fit perfectly on the shower caddies from the Dollar Tree I'm not even going to put any glue on the back. It does not need that. I will flip this over though just to show you what the back looks like. And now, all we really need to do is add a nose. So, for my nose, I chose to use one of the styrofoam balls from the Dollar Tree. I believe they are six or eight in a pack for a dollar and I am just going to paint it with some tan acrylic paint. I am using one of my sponges to sponge the paint on. I find it much easier than using a brush when I am dealing with these styrofoam balls. After my paint is dry, I am just going to attach this right underneath the brim of my hat with my hot glue. And there you have it, this guy is just absolutely adorable. Now, what's awesome about this craft is he actually sits up on his own and you can use him as a shelf sitter or you can just hang him on a door. If you like this quick video, please pass it along to your Facebook family and friends and thank you so much for continuing to support Gnome and Backyard. Have a fabulous holiday.

362K views · 2.9K reactions | Mini Gnome DIY | Wait until you see what we crafted up with these mini tree ornaments from Hobby Lobby! So so sweet! 🤗❤️🎄 #inspire #christmasiscoming #Christmas... | By Gnome & Backyard | Hi everyone it's Lee from Gnome and Backyard and I wanted to show you a cute quick little craft with these Hobby Lobby mini Christmas trees I'm loving them and they are actually all 50% off right now so the first thing we're going to do is you could see these Christmas trees are like green wire they are glittered I love them they're just so adorable and I love the fact that they're minis too we're going to just take some different ribbons or accents and we're going to wrap it a the base of our trees. So for the first one there you saw I used like a gold lace. For this one I'm using a gold tinsel. And I am just hot gluing them around the base of my trees. Um like I said just to cover up we want to cover up that little bottom section and you'll see why in a minute. Now this one I'm actually taking some green yarn and I'm stuffing it all the way in the tree. I thought that would be fun to still see the green glitter wire the outside with the green yarn on the inside and it actually looks like a sweet tree so I'm loving that that's what we did different with this one and then for the last one I'm not sure I don't know I think I'm going to let it go right now next thing we're going to do is we are grabbing some small pieces of faux fur in assorted colors we're just putting a dab of hot glue and wrapping the fur around itself now these pieces are not big at all you can see they might be one inch by four inches and we're just wrapping them around themselves making a cute little fur ball I guess you'd call it and you could see we have a natural color a white and a gray and then I'm not sure for the last one I think I'm going to let that go for a minute so all I'm going to do is put some hot glue on the very top of my fur there and then place it into the Christmas tree and yes those are Christmas tree hats for sweet little mini gnomes that we could use on our Christmas trees we can put magnets on them put them on the refrigerator we can put ribbon on them and use them as a hang tag on a present they are just oh so sweet and I love how that little Christmas tree is the hat now for this last one I'm going to take this white fur that has some black tipping on it and I'm actually just going to take that fur and just spin it right up into the top of that hat so now it looks like a white tree and there's the beard down the bottom oh my goodness I'm loving the they are just too sweet. So, let's go into our nose stash and see what we can find. I'm going to use the smallest little furniture plugs that I have. These are from Hobby Lobby also and they are going to be the perfect size for some gnome noses and I love this container from Dollar Tree that we keep all of our noses in. So now, we're just going to take some hot glue and put it on the bottom, the flat part of our furniture button and then just secure it right there underneath our gnomes hat where the hat meets the beard and guys look at how cute these are I just love them they're adorable and you know my favorite part of any gnome craft is adding the nose so again these little Christmas tree ornaments are in the mini section at Hobby Lobby they are 50% off you can put a ribbon through the top to hang them you can put a magnet on the back but I really do hope you get the chance to craft some of these up for yourself thank you so much for continuing to sprinkle all of Gnome and Backyard's videos.

a hand holding a black lantern on top of a wooden floor next to a wall
DIY Dollar Tree Snowman Lantern | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Through Chaos. I'm going to start this project off with this lantern from Dollar Tree and this flexible cutting board. I'm going to start by cutting them into pieces that will fit into the lantern. So I just made a pattern from one that I already did and then I'm going to cut out another two. So I need three of them all together. So I'm just going to cut it. And all I did was to get a pattern was lay the cutting board on top of the lantern and then just traced out around it and then trimmed it to fit inside. I'm going to need three of these all together. So once I have those all cut out I'm going to take this napkin that I had from my bundles. And I'm going to put some Mod Podge right on the cutting board itself or a cutting mat. And I'm just going to put a nice light coat on there. And at first I tried to lay the napkin on it. But then I realized that it was easier just to lay the cutting board onto the napkin. So as you can see I'm laying the napkin on there. And then I realized that it was just a lot easier to flip it over and lay it on that way. And I got a lot less wrinkles doing that. So I'm just going to smooth that out with my hand. And then just cut off all the excess around it. And I used my blow dryer to dry it before I cut it. And I'm just going to make sure that it's really dry and while I'm blow drying I'm actually like pressing down on it and removing the wrinkles or as many of them as I could. And then here I cut out the excess. And then I'm going to repeat the same process for the other two and you only want to do three sides because you want to be able to put the candle in and out at the end So again, just putting that Mod Podge on the cutting mat and then laying it down on the napkin. And again, just smoothing it out with my hands. Once I have all three of them done, I'm going to take my scissors and trim around the edges and then I used my sanding block to sand off whatever excess after they were all dry. So just trim off all that excess. I tried to get as close as I could so I didn't have to do as much sanding because I didn't want to pull the napkin too much. Once I have them all trimmed out and sanded off, I'm going to start gluing them inside the lantern. So I'm just going to lay the lantern down, stick my glue gun in there, and just kind of glue all around all of the edges. And then I'm going to take it and lay it in there and then flip it around and make sure that I have it the pattern where I want it in the center of the hole And look at how cute this is so far. I'm going to repeat the same process for the other three. So it's kind of hard to get my glue gun in there. I probably should have used my smaller one. So if you have a smaller glue gun it's going to be a lot easier for you. Or you can use like an E 6 thousand or Aileen's tacky glue would work. I did the glue gun so that I can pop these back out when the season's over and maybe do one for a different season. And there it is with all three sides done. Next I'm going to take some greenery and I just cut off a cut apart a pick that I had and I'm just going to lay that on the top. I'm kind of trimming down the end pieces and I'm just going to start laying those on top of the lantern and then adding more glue just keep putting on the pieces that I want and then I had this little berry pick and I'm going to add that to that as well Just kind of holding it all on there till the glue sets up. Once the glue was fully dry, I made a bow out of some mesh ribbon from Dollar Tree and I just tied off the center with a red pipe cleaner and I'm going to put that right on top of that greenery and a little bit onto the lantern. Kind of hold that in place for a minute. And then I'm going to trim the excess. So I'm just going to line them up. Make sure that they were even. Cut the excess and that is it. This project is finished. I think this turned out so super cute. I absolutely love it. And look how pretty it turned out. I'm going to add the candle in. And as you can't see it right now because it was light but this is what it looks like when it's all lit up. Thank you guys for watching. I you enjoyed this project. I hope it inspires you to make one and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.
