Happy Walpurgis Night! Essentially the calendar opposite of Halloween, Walpurgis takes place on 4/30 (May Day Eve). It has roots in ancient pagan customs, superstitions & festivals and is celebrated throughout Europe specifically in the Harz Mountains where the May Queen appears to chase away the evil spirits for 6mos (until Oct 31). In the Norse tradition, Walpurgisnacht is considered the "Enclosure of the Fallen" the night is said to be a time of weakness in the boundary btw the living & dead
