Wedding gown worn by Jane Easter when she married John William Straub, 1955. Sold at Marshall Field & Co. This piece is part of the Chicago History Museum exhibition I Do! Chicago Ties the Knot. 1930s Silk Satin Bias Cut Ivory Wedding Dress
Extraordinary vintage 1930s wedding dress in soft ivory silk satin with high neck, open back and cuffed balloon sleeves. This is an extremely elegant gown with a long train and cut on the bias making it very flattering and also flexible in size. Would best fit a UK 10/ US 6 but could also work on a UK 8 or 12/ US 4 or 8. It fastens with a button at he back of the neck and has poppers to fasten down the exaggerated cuffs.
