Audi R8 e-tron (2015)
The latest evolutionary version of the electrically-powered high-performance R8 e-tron sports car achieves a performance figure of 340 kW and a torque of 920 Nm (678.6 lb-ft). It sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in 3.9 seconds. Thanks to new battery cells, the range could be more than doubled compared to the first version of this technological wonder – it is now more than 450 kilometers (279.6 mi).
2004 Audi R8
The Audi R8 is the most succuessful LMP900 sports prototype of the modern era. It has a 3.6 litre V8 petrol twin turbo engine developing 550-620 bhp mated to a six speed sequential gearbox. This actual vehicle was driven by Germans Frank Biela and Pierre Kaffer and British Allan McNish during the 2004 Le Mans 24 Hours completing 350 laps and finishing in 5th position overall. The car was entered by Audi Sport UK Team Veloqx.
