Medinillas are tropical plants native to the Phillipines. Thankfully they are sold as houseplants in much of the US and they can be enjoyed when needed most - like right now when it's so cold outside! Medinillas like a lot of light and thrive in temperatures between 65 to 75 degrees. While soil should be kept on the dry side, they do like humidity. While some think they are little pricey, their extraordinary long bloom time- anywhere from 3 – 6 months- more than justifies their cost!
