Two person wall length desk at the new house. Ikea file cabinets with oak plank top. Used General Finishes Java Gel stain on wood top. Oak boards were purchased at Home Depot. I believe they are 10 inches across and we did have to cut the middle piece down about 1 1/2 inches to make the top fit the file cabinet correctly. They are 1 inch thick pieces. We used mending plates on the underside of the wood to attach the 3 pieces together. We then attached the wood top to the wall using 2 small…
