Children's Singing Time Game: Tic Tac Toe!
I was in charge of our Primary Singing time at church a few weeks ago and decided to play a simple game of tic-tac-toe to help us practice a song. It was so easy to put together, the kids had fun, and we got a good practice on one of my favorite songs! Supplies: Construction paper in Red and Blue Scissors Tape Chalk Prep Work: Draw an X on a piece of red construction paper. Cut it out and trace 5 more onto more red paper. Draw an O on a piece of blue construction paper and do the same thing…

President Monson and our Prophets - 5/5 Singing Time
The first Sunday in May will be all about PROPHETS. After all, the theme for the week IS "The living prophet leads the church under the direction of Jesus Christ". Here is what I have planned: At either the very beginning or the very end, we will sing "Follow the Prophet". The previous chorister, Liz (the same one who came up with the original blow dryer box) has Pat Graham's "Follow the Prophet" faces that you can find HERE, so those are all ready for me. She even added a crazy-haired news…

DIY PLiNKO game. 4'x2' this one is for music time in Primary (Children's Sunday School). 'Puck' slides down under the bands, where it lands depicts the song they sing and points for their team. Puck is a canning ring. Pegs are 2" screws. Ran out of rubber bands, but there will be more. They keep the puck from hopping off the board. Hinged easel on the back. Colored letters, numbers, and stars were cut with Cricut Machine and (along with the triangles) are mod podged onto the board.

Singing a song over and over is FUN!!!
We need to sing a song over and over to memorize the words and think about the message. Here is a list of different ways to practice a song over and over that will make it fun and keep the kids' attention. 1. Alligator mouth to control the volume- when his mouth is open wide, you sing loud. When it's open a little bit, you sing quiet. 2. Eddie Spaghetti - Pull a piece of yarn up through the hole. Colors can mean different things, like boys/girls sing, or hum/sing. (2 things I've learned…
