LOUISVILLE LORE: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig playing at Parkway Field in 1928, on the present site of the University of Louisville. The last remants of Parkway Field, including its brick wall (of which I have some fragments) were torn down a decade ago. I often imagined the history there; that these two legendary players actually stood there. Those silos are still there, though slated for razing.
