An inspiring internal view of the awesome Shot Tower at Taroona, Hobart. A few minutes drive (11 km) from downtown this unique relic of another time is the only circular sandstone shot tower in the world. Shot tower? Where they made shot from pouring molten lead. 259 steps to the top using a circular staircase, it is an unforgettable visitor experience - rewarded with views over the harbour entrance and the expanse of the River Derwent.
