The main house exterior appears to have evolved from an early 18th-century Colonial house with later Federal and early 20th-century additions. While the exterior of the house is decidedly American, its interiors reveal stylistic influences of its European owner.

Primary bedroom; custom bed; upholstered walls; coffered ceiling; modern minimal; Workshop/APD transformed this exceptional double-wide Upper East Side townhouse’s interiors from a stylistically disjointed mash-up to a cohesive, inviting primary residence for a young family. Large-scale elements like a dangling, five-story custom chandelier at the core of its elegant central staircase bring drama and intrigue to a light, bright material and color palette.
