Tallulah Gorge, Georgia. Imagine this place before the dam. I understand the water flow now is more than at the time when this photograph was taken. It always amazes me that dams can be sold so easily. Tallulah Gorge was a beautiful resort town. The dam was sold as all the electricity the City of Atlanta would ever need. It now only supplies two percent of the electricity of Atlanta.
