Hello everyone and welcome to my blog. I hope, wherever you are, that you are experiencing some lovely weather. Adelaide has been cold and overcast for weeks but, today, we finally have some sun!! It's still pretty cold though so all I can say is "Bring on the summer"!!!! OK, down to business ... I have another card to share with you. A very masculine and quite 'grungy' card as my title suggests. I distressed all the edges with my Ingvild Bolme Distressy Tool and inked them with 'Gathered…

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share another male card made with the Sizzix Mechanical die set along with the fun Prima Marketing Rusty Pipeline mould along with other gears, cogs and a stamp set in my Steampuck stash. I was able to find an ole Tim Holtz embossing gear folder and used black heavy cardstock. I sponged the gears and cogs with my new favorite Prima Marketing Redesign Brass wax along with another Prima Marketing Firebird wax and Charcoal Black. The Tim Holtz top hat stamp…

Hi everyone, thanks for all the lovely comments you've left recently. A quick post from me today. Just thought I'd share a card I'd been asked to make. Sometimes keeping it simple is what's requested ....hence the title. I thought I'd take the opportunity to combine it with the current challenge over at SanDee & amelie's blog which is 'Three's my lucky number' . I hope it scrapes in as an entry...definitely a trio and watch, cogs and grungy background with gilding fit the steampunk…

Hello dear visitors and welcome to my blog. A very special welcome to my new followers. Thank you so much for joining me on my crafty journey! It's been a while since I last posted. I have managed to get into my craft room once in a while but haven't been able to complete any of the projects I've been working on so I thought I would share another of the man cards I created a while ago. A fairly simple card made with two layers of some older Kaisercraft papers. For a bit of texture and…

This is a photo heavy post, so get comfy if you have the time. Although I cannot tell you all the details on how I made this worn journal cover, I can show and tell the extra bits which I did to add to my project that are not in Tim's book on Page 35! Go to Linda's blog to see more ideas by the Curiosity Crew for inspiration. I started with a brand new Cover. Covered it with Gel medium Then adhered a sheet of gift wrap tissue paper which I had scrunched up. When the front was dry, I glued…

Over at the KaiserCraft Blog, they are having a challenge where the theme for the month of August is COGS! Well, of course I could not resist, could I? First I ordered the paper pack, die and stencil... Then I set about looking at the delicious paper and die cuts for two weeks... It would seem I work best under pressure and seeing as the deadline is tomorrow... I thought I better get going! So I found a canvas and got to work! I played with the cog embossing folder in as many ways as I could…
